Here's a short video of our rain water harvesting system. It currently holds 220 gallons and is powered by a 12v pump from a bank of marine batteries that are in turn charged from an array of solar panels.
If you have any specific questions I could probably answer them. It really wasn't that difficult to put together and only took one day.
Nice set up. What kind of pump did you use? I mean specific name etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's a 12v pump from a salvaged motorhome. The brand is Aquajet and the model is 55-aquajet-aes. I picked it up for $50.00

ReplyDeleteNot too shabby at all! The batteries are the thing that kicked my rear with solar power. Check the water, be sure you equalize the batteries, keep them charged but not too much...... Then after three years I had to replace the things. I am waiting to see how your operation works out. You seem to have a better handle on it than I did in 1999.
